These bulbs have an incredibly unique light pattern. The concave top on the bulb reflects light out on a wide angle (guess that's why they call them wide angle) yet it still projects light out the top too. The bulbs in these strings are virtually indestructible, I dropped two strings out of the bucket truck, they landed on concrete from 40' in the air. PERFECT!!! I will never go back to traditional glass mini lights.
